Kylie’s belly is getting big and we cannot wait to meet our new nephew this June! Eek!! I was so excited to do this maternity session not only because it is my sister and brother-in-law, but it was somewhere very special to me. I used to live very close to this incredibly scenic location in Utah. I miss it a lot! This session happened along our travels back to the West and there’s definitely a story behind the making of this maternity session. Kylie and Scott drove from CO to meet us here for the weekend and Chad and I got up at 2:30 AM for these moments. Yep, and it was all my idea. Call me crazy, but Chad and I were about 3.5 hours away in the (desert) National Parks before we arrived here. Chad drove, bless his sweet little heart. I guess that you could say that I would do almost anything for a beautiful session and Chad is always up for a fun and exciting challenge with me.

We met Kylie and Scott around 7am at the lake and it all worked out to be SO fun and so worth it! The joy for a new family member coming soon mixed with the Timpanogos mountains in the background was everything! I love a good scenic location and a great looking couple that’s up for an adventure! Asking them to walk on wobbly rocks for the perfect shot and letting them watch Chad and I act like goofballs the entire time to get the best angles was pretty hilarious. And memorable! I can’t wait to meet this baby boy and to see Kylie and Scott become the best first-time parents. Their little boy is going to have a fun and exciting life ahead. <3
